Policy & Procedure

Booking & Prepayment
All appointments at Dos Akos Massage require full prepayment at the time of booking. This policy ensures that each client’s appointment time is reserved exclusively for them. Payment can be made securely through our online booking system or in person prior to the appointment.

Cancellations
We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for all appointment cancellations. Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice may be eligible for store credit, which can be applied toward future services.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are considered case by case and may not be eligible for credit.

No Refund Policy
Dos Akos Massage maintains a strict no-refund policy. Store credit may be issued in approved cancellation cases only; monetary refunds are not available under any circumstances.

Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Clients who arrive late will receive the remaining time of their session so as not to delay the next appointment. The full session fee will still apply.

No-Shows
Clients who fail to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will forfeit the full session fee. No store credit or rescheduling will be available for no-shows.

Draping Policy
Professional draping is maintained at all times. Only the area of the body being treated will be undraped, ensuring client comfort, privacy, and safety. Clients are expected to remain properly draped throughout the session.

Confidentiality & HIPAA Compliance
Dos Akos Massage follows all applicable HIPAA and privacy standards. Client information, health history, and treatment records are kept confidential and used solely to provide safe and effective care.

Medical Disclosure
Clients must disclose all relevant health information prior to and during treatment, including injuries, medical conditions, allergies, or medications that may affect massage safety.
For prenatal clients, disclosure of pregnancy and any pregnancy-related conditions is required so appropriate modifications can be made.

Communication During Massage
Open communication is essential. Clients are encouraged to speak up immediately if pressure, positioning, or technique causes discomfort or pain, or if anything feels unsafe. This ensures that the massage remains therapeutic and does not risk injury.

Behavior & Conduct Policy
Professional boundaries are strictly enforced. Inappropriate behavior or sexual harassment of any kind will result in immediate termination of the session and possible reporting to authorities.
A $1000 fine will be applied for any confirmed incident of sexual harassment, and future services will be permanently denied.
